Despite the rain on Thursday the Trails in and around Speculator and Perkins Clearing are in Good to Great shape. Today we rode Perkins from Rt 30 to Mud Lake Rd, over the new Moss Vly Bridge, back out to Jessup River Rd and then Perkins Clearing Rd south to Rt 30 and it was a 10+. The Village trails as well as trail C4 from Oak Mt to Perkins were groomed this afternoon and for the most part these trails are in very good shape.
Thank you to Jim T. for taking care of the Village trails while I groomed up to Perkins and back.
BR-60+: The groomer is located at Elm Lake Rd and Cave Hill Rd and is full of fuel w/ two empty cans in the cab. The coolant was low so I topped it off and left the balance of the antifreeze in the cab. Please check the level after grooming and top off as needed.
BR-110: Plugged in at Oak Mt and ready to groom. We should stay off the Village trails especially the power line trail, the trail behind Chas Johns and C4 from 103 to HM104 until we get colder weather. Also the River trail is off limits except for the skandics.
Skandics: Located at Cedarhurst and operational
Other: Rick has the Lake Lights at VR for Big Mike and Peter to install. The one light has been installed at Moffits. The Tucker is on Page St and we have contacted Leo D. so Paul, John and I can get checked out on it. Next weekend is the Poker Run so there will be grooming needed. Please remember to e-mail me w/ all grooming times and locations so I can update the OPRHP worksheets.
