First let me apologize for not sending out an update for the last few weeks but things got very hectic w/ the holiday weekend grooming and all of the news regarding the JRWF UMP. This past weekend the trails were groomed almost nonstop but the warm temperatures and high volume of sleds took their toll. A few inches of new snow has arrived and at this point any new snow is a welcome sight. We will continue to groom and keep the trails as smooth as possible.
This past month John Nilsen has taken over Trail Boss duties for the Speculator Tree Farm and will maintain the BR-60+ groomer. John is a long time Speculator resident and he spent many hours back in the day riding the old Speculator Trail System so his knowledge of the tree farm is ideal. We thank John for taking on this role and helping us make the trail system the best it can be.
Hopefully snow and cold temps are in the forecast so we can get the trails back into excellent condition.
