DEC Forester Tate Connor has been impressed with the results so he has scheduled another weekend work date for Sunday, September 27th, meeting 8AM at the Cod Pond Parking Lot on Route 8.
Here is the lastest on the Oregon Trail (C4 between Wells and Thurman) Project:
- 33 of the 50 Segments of the project have been completed.
- 6 miles of trail have been brushed and improved.
- The WORST sections of trail have been addressed
- The Longest walking is over
- 602 man hours in 7 workdays
- 29 volunteers have participated
If you are planning to help out on Sunday, September 27th, please contact DEC Forester Tate Connor to RSVP. Please include your name, phone # and the confirm the date that you want to work. All work will be done on foot, so remember to backpack your food, water and other necessities to last the day.
Directions: After you pass Wells northbound on Route 30, turn right onto Route 8, cross the Sacandaga River Bridge, then continue approximately 9 miles until you reach the Cod Pod Parking Lot.
