To all snowmobilers:
Tate Conner from DEC has developed a work plan and work dates for trail maintenance in the Wilcox Lake area where some of our trails are located. We are in need of as many volunteers as possible to perform some very arduous labor in clearing and resurfacing the trail in the Georgia Brook area. If you are available on Sunday August 16th a number of club members will meet at the Georgia Brook parking area which is about 5 miles west on Rte 8 from the Rte 30 turn off.
If you are available on any of the other days, your help is needed on those days also.

8-16 Sunday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot (Big Gravel lot and plow turn around north of Griffin)
8-21 Friday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
8-22 Saturday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
8-29 Saturday @ 8 AM.. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
8-30 Sunday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
9-12 Saturday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
9-13 Sunday @ 8 AM. Meet at Georgia Creek Parking Lot
If you are planning on helping out on any of the Trail Work days, please contact DEC Forester Tate Connor to RSVP. This will help better coordinate and plan our efforts for each work day, so your volunteer time is the most productive.

Tate Conner will lead the work party and advises that you bring :
-Food and Water we will be away from the trucks all day in the woods (pack to carry it in)
-Bug Dope or Headnet, sunscreen
-Gloves
-Other things you use throughout the day.
-Each club should bring at least 1 first aid kit
-Tools we will need or be using: (Most of the work is digging and Grubbing)
-Mattocks or Grub Hoe
-Adze Hoe or Hazel Hoes
-Round Pointed shovels
-Loppers or Brush Axe
