The sun, rain and warm temperatures have taken their final toll on the Village trails and they are down to dirt.  The trails in the Tree Farm, C4 from HM117 to HM700 as well as Fly Creek and Long Level, Trail S41D, still have adequate coverage for riding but not for grooming.
As far as grooming for the 2008 - 2009 season we are done.  All the grooming equipment has been relocated to Oak Mt.
This summer and fall we will concentrate on repairs to the BR-60+ tractor as well as both Class A drags.  We have confirmed the BR-60+ transmission is operating properly and we will concentrate on improving its reliability.
We will also assist the Wells snow machine club in their efforts to improve the Oregon Trail between Thurman and Wells.  This is an important community connector trail that will allow us to safely travel to the Warren County trail system via Griffin Gorge. Stay tuned for work dates this spring and summer.
I would like to Thank everyone who donated time and effort this season to make our trail system the best in Hamilton County!  Without the work done by volunteers the trail system in New York State would not exist.  Kudos to all and let's make the 2009 - 2010 season even better!

Thank you again
Bob C.
