First and foremost ....... a BIG thank you to all the groomer operators that took time away from their families this holiday weekend to help maintain our trails. The overall trail conditions were great in the morning but degraded quickly due to the poor nature of the snow combined with the holiday traffic and warm sun. Each day this weekend I rode the trails in the Tree Farm and they were GREAT and on Sunday Fly Creek Rd and Long Level were in the best condition I have ever seen them. On Sunday night the groomers rolled out at 10:00 pm and did not stop grooming until late Monday afternoon. Thank you John N., Paul, Aaron, John B. and Art for you excellent efforts.
All equipment is up and running and ready for action. We will continue with our current grooming game plan using the BR-110 to groom C4 from HM108 to HM117 as well as S41C and S41 around Silver Hill. The BR-60+ will groom C4 from HM117 to HM700 and S41D from Long Level to Fly Creek. Please note that there are many areas the BR-60+ grooms that DO NOT have cell phone coverage. Please let another groomer operator know if you are venturing into a dead zone and what time you will return. The Skandics will groom the Village trails and Page Street as well as any other location that needs attention.
Let's hope the weather forecast is correct and we get some needed snow this week! Thanks all and see you on the trails. Bob C.
