On Friday the temperatures climbed above freezing for the first time in a long time and with the river trail providing safe passage to the Speculator Tree Farm grooming went into high gear. On Friday Pete and I groomed from the Village to the old bridge on trail C4 HM700. There was tons of snow and the warmer temps allowed us to mow down the bumps w/ easy. Pete ran up and down Fly Creek as I widened Old Rt 30 to 16' to 20'.
On Saturday John N., John B. and Paul prepped the two BR's and cleaned up the Village trails to Perkins. Then on Sunday Paul and John B, ran the BR's in tandem down Elm Lake Rd., Long Level, Fly Creek and back to the Village via C4 on Cave Hill Rd. So if you want to ride some of the best trails in NYS come visit the Speculator Tree Farm. Aaron and Steve tacked the bumps on Page Street and John N. finished up the Village trails and took a run at Perkins Clearing as well.
Great Job and many thanks to our weekend groomers ..... John N, Pete, Aaron, Steve, Paul, and John B.
We will continue to use the Skandics to groom Page Street, The Village trails and C4 from HM103 to HM104. The BR-110 should concentrate on C4 from Perkins to HM117 and the BR-60+ on the Tree Farm Trails
